I might piss some of my friends off with this, might make some happy, lmao. In the past couple of years I've been fighting a personal spiritual battle with my own mind after my mother died. Religion played a big part of this. To put it in perspective for you I'll say that over the course of the last two years i've changed my personal views a lot. More than I maybe should have.
I've went through everything from Asatru to Buddhism to Gnosticism to Christianity and back through them all again, but something that really stuck with me above them all was Christianity.
I've come to terms with myself that I may never actually find the answer to everything, but I do know that I'd rather live my life as a Christian and it not be real, than live my life as a non-believer and go to hell.
This isn't intended to be a "hell thread" or anything. It's basically me just getting some long winded frustrations off my mind to people I enjoy being with. I'm specifically looking at Catholicism because my grandfather who was 100% Italian, of whom I never met, but am told I act a lot like, was Catholic.
This also played a role into why i've left NC.D & Poast multiple times over the course of the last year or so. I'm hoping I actually find some solace this time and stick around like I said I would.
