First I thought of this as a good idea, however as Thor (from PirateGames) pointed out correctly the language of the petition is way too unclear and would indeed threaten video games and the industry in general (including, or rather especially, Indie devs).

Given the unclear language politicians might do something stupid with it, causing huge problems and attack vectors on other studios that could be abused by those who're already big in the business.
