In the most basic terms, yes. Supporting private defense contractors is definitely extremely capitalist. There would be more support for citizens versus company profits (war is very profitable). And a leftist government in my opinion would or should be less capitalist and more focused on its own people. Political left and right definitions tends to be rather thorny when it comes to the US though.

In case you’re wondering, I am a former occupy Wall Street supporter and Green Party member. You can’t support Occupy Wall Street’s aims and accept defense contractors’ money/support in my opinion at all.
