It seems super fucked up to me that starting at the age of like 10, I had debilitating period cramps, like to the point of vomiting and sometimes being unable to walk, and everyone was just like “oh yeah, that’s how it is. Take ibuprofen or something.” And like, eventually I got on continuous birth control, which completely solved the problem with no noticeable side effects, but I had to ask for it from my doctor. Nobody suggested it. I spent like 10+ years disabled by pain 15-20% of the time.
