You definitely do. Or at least spend a bit more for something like a DigitalOcean droplet. Though you'd at least need SOME knowledge to do that, but they do have a "one-click droplet" to get things started pretty easily.
I pay about $30 a month and don't run into these storage issues because my instance is linked to a backblaze object storage account. I easily keep about 300 gb in there for about $3.50-$4 a month, the rest of the cost comes from DigitalOcean
