I did a huge taste test last Winter on maple syrups. In general, I preferred Amber or Grade A, to the more robust flavored Dark or Grade B.
However there wasnt much difference between brands. Costco's Kirkland brand maple syurp is generally the best value.
I topped mine with butter, maple syrup and cinnamon, served with crispy thick sliced Hatfield bacon.
Crown Amber maple syrup from upstate New York, specifically.
I can highly recommend their Bourbon Infused maple syrup as well.
