Hmmm … this blog post is giving me the thinks about my recent layoff, and why I, literally the most senior person, and only woman on a tech team, was the preferred cost-saving layoff.

I did do a lot of “glue” stuff. Comms between teams. Hunting down expertise across groups. Spending an extra tech support hour with a particular customer aiming to decrease their need for that next call.
Glad it’s also got some thoughts about what to do for those of us who LIKE glueing.
