"content": "It is not a spicy hot take to say that most linux apps look awful. They do. Because most people who use it are programmers or enthusiasts and not designers. I like LibAdwaita, I just don't prefer it. I am very picky about my GUI and I like to shake things up pretty often as well. \n\nThis is coming from the person who literally skinned firefox to look like Microsoft Edge though because I happen to think edge looks really, really great - I just detest chromium based browsers and won't abandon firefox.\n\nAlso you could achieve what you're describing with having the shell handle stuff if you introduced the magic mouse or something as a paradigm - but it pretty much would require some sort of multi-touch or gesture-based input I would think. Gnome tried it a little with the hot corner thing and most people that I know hate it with a passion so I don't think mouse gestures would work. Apple mostly tried this I think but they don't share and they're dumb anyways :blobfoxgoogly:",
