quotingI had another incredible day with #FacesOfTomorrow - our team did 10 complex cleft lip and palate repairs on kids aged 1 to 22. Left for the hospital around 645 and got back to our hotel around 7pm.

This experience has been so fucking refreshing. Iβm realizing how burnt out I was practicing in the US. Here Iβm getting to practice pure medicine without any of the red tape and bullshit Iβm used to. Even though our resources are extremely limited, weβre practicing at a level that rivals care in many US hospitals. And, itβs the most fun Iβve had in years working with these dedicated docs and nurses on the team. I donβt normally do pediatrics, so getting to work with kids again has been a blast. I told my wife today I might go back and do a peds anesthesia fellowship. She wasnβt thrilled π
Plus, the cherry on top this trip was getting back to my hotel WiFi and realizing bitcoin hit $50k. Maybe one day Iβll be able to do more mission work than fiat mining. π
