A side benefit of organizations that actively promote inclusion is that it causes some people who don't have a community-oriented mindset to self-select out of the organization.
If you care only about what you can get out of an organization (and not what you can both give and receive), you probably don't care about it being inclusive to people not like you. Indeed, you might feel such actions actively harm your ability to receive.
