China is building the world's first solar thermal electricity generating plant that will have two towers instead of just one.
“The mirrors in the overlapping area can be utilized by either tower. This configuration is expected to enhance efficiency by 24%,” said Wen Jianghong, plant project manager.
China claims that this design is not limited to the two towers. The plant is expected to be operational by the end of 2024 and will also have PV and wind too.
