I know these are hard realities to face, but the City's insistence on more money for cops and less money for housing isn't just cruel, it's fiscally irrational.
Housing people is Pareto optimal. This ain't. The people who want mass incarceration of the houseless sure as hell ain't, and if you think they have any plans to stop at houseless people, clearly you haven't been watching the #pdx Nazi discourse on gay people leaving the fucking house.
We need to stop throwing money at useless cops and start investing it in people who actually fucking live here.
