I'm not doing well this morning.
I know that people see my aversion to political talk as a weakness, and maybe they are right.
It's not that I don't care about what's going on in the world, it's that I care so much that my feelings overwhelm me, and leave me in a state of helplessness. So I limit my political intake so that I can manage to get through the day.
If that make me weak. Then I guess I am.
But it's never that I don't care. I do. Deeply, with compassion and empathy.
