Nice to have parents who can be reasoned with. My dad still jokes about when I bought Liberty Dollars in 2004 (for$10 when Silver was $7 -- which I sold when silver was $50 after the FBI raided Bernard von Nothaus). And jokes about bitcoin (never mind the fact that I bought in with $500 today around 2012, sold some for rent, sold more for siding on my house, and still have a few grand kicking around that I'm finally getting serious about building back up as a stack).
And he was a treasurer. It's amazing how some peoples' schooling can get in the way of their education.
