The way I see it, there are three types of AI devs:

Hypeman : Every feature gets hollowed out and replaced with an input field to a chatbot, so that users can spend hours of their day having more-or-less meaningful conversations with a machine.

MeToos : Adds a chatbot to his page, so that he can say he "does AI".

Traditionalists : Hones the features to make them all smarter. Leverages different forms of AI, like machine-learning, semantic search, and assistants.

Worth making the search really useful, even without an LLM behind it. Even if an LLM is later added, or a search relay has an LLM, the controls save the user the work of having to write a long prompt, as the controls create a json and that can be added to the prompt.
