there's no authentication system - it's intended to be hosted internally, not publicly, and be a "one person at a time" kind of workflow anyway, for the most part (although there's nothing preventing folk from working with it in parallel, there are no allowances for collaborative use yet)
it's not at all fancy - I'm not a ui designer, but it does the things it needs to do in a presentation I believe is reasonably easy to navigate and operate for its target audience.
it's not a swiss army knife, it's a set of custom tools for making one thing happen, and as many things as there are that I want to "fix" about the "codebase" it's doing the things - I can get around to converting bits and pieces into self-contained web components later.
