I've complained about this before, but I still maintain that the complexity of front-end open source projects in general (extensive build tools, UI moved to JS frameworks, Typescript, etc) is at least one of the biggest deterrents to accessibility folks contributing to open source. Like, no one wants to fix your markup when there are so many hurtles to get to it.
