When that Egyptian soldier was killed in a firefight with the IDF near the border, he was denied a military funeral and the Egyptian government called it a drug deal gone wrong. But the public considered him a martyr anyway. A resistance group in Egypt has named themselves after him (sorry I don't have the name properly spelled)
