movie vs. book
Jaws & Jurassic Park come to mind. My childhood self would make an argument for The Wizard of Oz. I’ve largely forgotten the book & the movie is beloved. I liked that LOTR enhanced the female characters & improved the pacing (goodbye Tom).
Whichever I see/read first, if I love it I tend to avoid the other. That said, I also critique them by different standards. They both tend to have strengths & weaknesses.
