On another episode of Life in the Skies:
Flight attendant goes to do the exit row safety briefing and a passenger holds up her finger and says, ”I’m on the phone.”

Well excuse me mam but I am required by law per the FAA to perform a safety briefing to all passengers in the exit row before we can close the aircraft door and push back from the gate. So if your phone call is more important than ALL these peoples time *gestures broadly across the plane full of passengers* then you are more than welcome to step off the aircraft to continue it. If you do in fact manage to finish before we leave, hopefully there will be another seat available for you since you’ll be unable to occupy the exit row due to not receiving the safety briefing. Now which outcome sounds most reasonable to you while you still have the opportunity to make a choice?
