The thing about following Mastodon accounts it that sometimes people are great people talking about interesting things but they also post about topics that for whatever reason I really don't want in my feed. If they use content warnings and/or hashtags in a helpful way, I might follow them anyway. Otherwise, no. Filtering my timeline is self-care.
So if I don't follow you (and you think I should) that's probably what's up. It's not about you, it's just about healthy boundaries & TL management.
