I don’t care about any of this and it’s boring.
LBJ wasn’t even really that important in the grand scheme of things. Israel wanted to have nukes. JFK didn’t want them to have nukes. He embarrassed and insulted Ben-Gurion and so JFK had to be dealt with.
I’m pretty sure JFK was in on it and was being a martyr for the idea of “this is what happens when you go against Israel”
As you can see this has held up well and done wonders for the legacy of the do nothing presidency of JFK.
