There's a hairdresser in one of the shops on the ground floor. It's gotta be a Mafia front. There's never anybody in there but the owner drives a Porsche SUV. Every afternoon he fires up an AMP and sings 50s karaoke loud enough to hear him on my Zoom calls and probably halfway down the block. I think today the loneliness has broken him: he's been singing the first verse and chorus of Fly Me to the Moon over and over for the past hour. I'd go and confront him but, you know, I wasn't joking about the Mafia bit.
