Right I'm, just not sure that NI is just pension.
It's not a bank account. It's not an option. UK nationals cannot opt out of AFAIK, or fill up and then stop paying because they paid in enough. Folks do face shortfalls. That shouldn't be the case before folks start giving hand-outs overseas.
Unfair, perhaps. But societies don't seek to function for every individual, they should seek to function overall.
