occasionally someone will read this thread of “falsehoods programmers (and product designers) believe about identity systems” and ask me what the correct way to build one is.
and my answer is
ideally you don’t
but if you have to, I don’t know
and even if I did know, I couldn’t in good conscience tell you how to build yours
because precisely how you build a great identity system really depends a whole lot on what exactly you need it for, and i have no idea what you in particular need one for.
