I just finished playing through FixFox, and what a wild ride that has been!
It's a pretty simple and easy-going puzzle game at heart, and with "primitive" pixelated graphics, but the game manages to be so incredibly expressive with that. The storytelling is so charming, the characters adorable, it put many smiles on my face as I played it. And the story is engaging and kept me wanting to know more. The ending... just wow.
Without spoiling too much of the game, you encounter some really captivating themes:
- Space travel and sci-fi!
- Transhumanism and animal gene splicing (furry TF!).
- The struggle for acceptance in society, related to the above.
- The dangers of unchecked AI serving corporate interests.
- Even a subtly hidden trans character!
It's absolutely a criminally underrated game and I can't praise it enough.
