I honestly think the issue is, your #media is too polite.
It's not the #stereotype, but I think #Americans are very polite people, but that's not what you need from a political interviewer.
Neil is rude, adversiarial and belicose, but it works because he doesn't deal in skirt arounds. He asks direct questions and does it bluntly.
I don't think Neil is a very nice guy, but you don't need nice guys interviewing #politicians. You need bloodhounds.
