Paperwork (nprofile…p32f) Austin has been gaslit by a community that, rather than teach him how to speak his mind and set boundaries, taught him it was okay to destroy people’s reputations without even actually talking to them about what they (almost certainly accidentally) did wrong. And when I called out what happened his stance started to change, which shows some amount of integrity in him since he didn’t have to do that at all. He could have easily stuck to the narrative and his friends would have been on his side.
Worse, teaching people to freak out about this sort of stuff literally causes trauma. You can literally gaslight someone into having an experience that was minor turn into a full blown trauma by convincing them it was horrific.
There is no side of this culture that is ethical. It’s just the loudest abusers in the room controlling the narrative and gaslighting people who don’t know any better.
