Israel is not going anywhere, and these poor people are just pawns who can't escape. Walled in by both Egypt and Israel, how would you feel?
The ugly truth is the Anti-Semitic Europeans supported the creation of a Jewish state because they wanted the Jews out of Europe. But they're not willing to take in the displaced Arabs.
