Nostr newbies seem to have cracked the code on how to get a lot of followers as soon as they join Nostr.
The cheat code is:
1. Get an account.
2. Thank and praise popular accounts with a lot of followers for the successful "missionizing."
3. Wait for them to repost you out of vanity.
4. Cash in on a portion of their followers.
Extra points for a somewhat attractive female profile pic or showing a lot of skin. Lots of simps here ngl.
