Tyler (npub1a8p…2ncx) You probably weren't here back then, but not long ago, we didn't have them and none of the devs wanted to add the feature. It was very controversial when they finally came, and once one popular software added it everyone else had to or it was awkward.
I supported it at the time because it seemed harmless but now I'm not so sure. It just breaks up threads for no reason.
