"Everyone has days like this" is something I hear a lot. With respect to kids melting down, what they mean is maybe once every two weeks or so (when they're young), as opposed to ten times a day.
It gets a bit more complications than that with other stuff, but that's a lot to do with attributing "normal" things to a disorder.
