But it works, and does the job. At the moment, I'm using the Pushover backend. I'm still unsure if battery life will extend, compared to keeping the connection active with IMAP Idle (or ActiveSync with z-push), or if it'll be negligible. The good thing is that you can be notified of new e-mails without configuring the e-mail address, which could be useful.
