I didn’t even know that deer were protected in Victoria. Why? Those that have escaped from farms are doing awful damage to our thin soils & flora. If people want to hunt deer, they can go where the deer are indigenous & it is legal to hunt them. They are beautiful animals, but they don’t belong here.
