By far my favorite thing about Mastodon is that if I make an obvious joke that references kumquats the world’s leading expert on kumquats, who doesn’t follow me…but who searches for kumquat-related toots on an hourly schedule, will weigh in to explain to me how I have misstated the scientific properties of kumquats. 😏
