I just recently learned about --force-with-lease, it's definitely been useful. However, I'm more of a merge person. No endless conflicts or pushing over someone else's work. Plus, if you follow a main + feature branches strategy, merge commits are your opportunity to describe the changes as a whole, i.e. no need for a bunch of little commit messages.",
