Realized only later today how much and well Kid1 has internalized and is using things we've taught/mentioned. Just as I was going to bed last night, got a text from Kid1 that they had to evacuate their college dorm building due to fire. (All ok, a bit of smoke from popcorn in microwave apparently and they were let back in).
Looking back the first words in text are: I'm OK.
