I felt like the country had a bit of rebound violence coming out of lockdowns, remote school, and disruption to peoples jobs and supply chains, and this is why there was a little uptick in the past year and now people are settling into "normal" patterns.
But I didn't say much about it since it was just speculation and it could have been the start of another slow rise in crime.
Now I feel more confident that it could have been just that.
Not that even the "rise" was remarkable.
