It will be interesting where we rate AI against other forms of life/intelligence. Will they we valued higher than insects or rodents for example, cats, dogs…? Will we only value them as ‘intelligent and valuable morally’ once paired with robotics with visual likeness to ourselves. Going one further and assuming we can download some or all of someone’s consciousness how would we compare them then?
We’re blurring some lines here over the following decades / century’s and it’s going to be nothing short of fascinating as we explore what it means to be human and what it means to be alive.
