Worth remembering that this is not some kind of unearned windfall for these two public servants. They will very likely ultimately only receive a fraction of the full award, likely after considerably delay. And their lives were completely upended. They had to flee their homes, change their appearance, live in fear for their lives, through absolutely no fault of their own. And it continues to this day.
