I took typing my first year of high school. Learned on huge Olympia manual typewriters. Typing was the worst mark I got in my entire high school career, barely passed the required 20 words-per-minute. And yet typing is probably the only thing I learned in high school that I still use today, and now on computers my speed is closer to 80wpm. So thank you, Mrs. Marrett!

And yes, I was one of a handful of boys in a class of fifty (the typing room was a double classroom).
