Without a doubt, the single most valuable course I ever took in school at any level, was a Junior High School typing class. I was one of maybe two or three guys in it -- the rest were girls. I wanted to learn touch typing to make it easier to write reports and term papers on the old manual typewriter I had available.

I had absolutely no idea at the time that I'd be spending my entire damned career typing untold millions of words and maybe billions of characters into the soulless computers.
