I don't have a phone number, use anonymous email that doesn't require one. Don't have apps for a bank, stores and will not even give my ID to a gas station to buy cigarettes (they are scanning IDs into a corporate database here).
I see people using the phone and/number for credit cards, public transportation and everything you can imagine.
I keep begging people to not do it. They are just asking to have their identity stolen.
