Argentine yerba con palo seems a bit like a trick. I specifically chewed these palo, and I can say they’re almost tasteless, yet they add weight to the package. The logic behind adding them is clear: they make the yerba milder because they replace some of the leaf in the package and absorb substances from the drink without delivering them to the person drinking it.

So far, the best-tasting yerba (if I can even say that) I’ve had (and I’ve tried four different kinds) was sin palo.
