Scholars are always the last to come to a new platform. And only if there is a recognizable audience. The first audience are early adopters, laymen, who shout out their unqualified fatwas, which will then trigger the scholars to come and "set things right".
And way after that you'll get to see the MT crowd. Maybe we should talk more about marriage issues and masculinity here? 😀
There's no pioneering spirit in us anymore. I only know of one famous scholar who has turned his back on X, and only half-heartedly at that (his students still maintain his account there). However, he went to Bluesky instead of Nostr, despite some advice on it. And he has actually created a smaller, more private circle in Telegram at the same time.
