My 2sats:

"The map is not the territory" is an important concept. A map always leaves something out because in order to be perfect & include every detail in a complex & ever changing landscape the map would have to actually be the territory.

Similarly is God is all knowing & ever present then I think that means God has to be the very fabric of reality itself. In which case God would be everything that is true & it would be delusion that separates us from God/reality.

Individuals have wants & needs & feelings & concerns. Individuals are prime, we are each indivisible beings. Groups & collectives are divisible abstractions. So people who treat collectives as though they matter more than individuals are deluded & ultimately worshipping some unholy abstraction at the expense of reality & real individuals.

It seems to me, that the moral of the Jesus story is that men clinging to status & power (conferred to them by the existence of some group or social structure) will kill God & the truth in an effort to perserve said status & power. And they will often do so in the name of "the greater good."

The real divide between good & evil is prioritization of the pursuit of truth vs prioritization of the pursuit of social status. It's in every little thing we do. Do we do or say what we know to be right & true, or do we go with what the normies around us will reward?
