As I learn more about public key cryptography and the way it's being used for tech like passkeys, #Web3 dapps, Nostr and older tech like PGP, I'm starting to understand why people quickly started to prefer passkeys.
While I still have my concerns about it (mainly due to the fact that big tech seems to be the main ones pushing for it), I really do "get it" now. My only issue is that, for whatever reason, you can't get passkeys working on my phone because it's "incompatible". I'll gladly take the SD card slot and aux jack on this phone over passkeys, at least for now.
