It's hard to judge the effectiveness/purposefulness of a social media gadfly. I myself tend towards a very Jeremiah-style super-pessimistic view of the world.
But I balance that out by genuinely enjoying encouraging others and having positive interactions with people who don't think like me.
But yeah, so much of those folks' posts are just a harrow across the chest, emotionally. It's like their currency is gut-rending news. Ew. No thank you.
