I don't really understand how this TikTok ban thing is supposed to work. So some new company splits off, maybe, and it's based in America.. except, presumably, it still has to communicate with the backend servers which are.. what... all controlled by the China parent company? Are these two companies supposed to just magically share the video data between them? Do they fork the *entire* thing.. client code and backend servers? Now people outside the US have to pick from two different TikTok apps?
