I personally don’t believe DMT is needed for that, though most of “reality” can’t be perceived by humans —Donald Hoffman has an interesting theory on how human evolution made us equipped only to perceive what aided our survival. Hence what constitutes our “reality” isn’t all there is.
One of the reasons I’m a proponent of the string theory, or to the very least its 10–11 dimensions.
